About Stelbel Nina Gravel​/​Bike Packing Frameset

Stelbel makes some of the finer steel bikes available on the market at the moment. Originally started in the 70s by Stelio Belletti​,​ a mechanical engineer from Milan who was disgruntled with a recent bike purchase and decided to set out to make something better. A machinist and metalworker as well​,​ Stelio scanned around the workshop and his eyes met this trusty TIG welder. Until that point all steel bikes were either lugged or filet braized so he set out to be the first to produce TIG welded frames offering stronger​,​ lighter welds and eventually other innovations such as vertical dropouts​,​ stainless tubing​,​ and many more. He was forced to close the brand down in the 90s but was able to revive it in the mid 2010s which brings us to today. This frame​,​ the Nina​,​ is their gravel​/​bike packing model. It's built with the same TIG process that brought Stelbel to fame and makes use of a custom butted tubeset from Columbus​,​ paired with a Columbus Cross+ fork. Geometry is custom​,​ sheet provided at the end of the photos​,​ and was designed to be nimble and whippy for everyday riding while also stable enough to load up for overnight tours into the bush. This was recently sent back to the factory for a warranty claim where they refinished the frame and painted a brand new fork to match. Reason for sale is I'm moving and do not have space for all the bikes currently in my quiver. Lead times are 12-16months on a new frame so this is a good opportunity to get your hands on one.
